Overview
Just like the double headed snake, this ride will bite you twice. After climbing up to the Khandallah Ridge, and out to Porirua, the ride heads up the steady 14km climb of Paekakariki. We head back down and in no time the ride heads skyward again to the Moonshine Hill. So high you can see the moon. The decent off the Moonshine is steep and treacherous in Winter, followed by a long flat smash fest home along the motorway.
